We are looking for a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This is a fully on-site, in office role.
The Manufacturing Systems Engineer is an entry-level professional position designed to develop future leaders within our manufacturing operations.
Role and Responsibilities:
Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Collaborate with product design teams to identify and drive design changes on the sustaining production programs for optimal manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
Statistical Process Control (SPC): Help design and implement SPC systems to monitor, control, and improve manufacturing processes and enable quick identification of trends, reduce variation, and drive corrective/preventive actions.
Process Development & Optimization: Continually evaluate current production processes to develop, document, and refine processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
Automation & Technology Integration: Identify opportunities for automation and help drive the implementation of robotic systems, vision systems, PLCs, and other smart manufacturing technologies.
Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving: Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, FMEA) to resolve production issues and drive corrective/preventive actions.
Continuous Improvement: Champion lean manufacturing principles and lead Kaizen events to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance product quality.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate process documentation, work instructions, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Automation or Robotics required.
Must be graduating between May 2024 and August 2025
Strong understanding of DFM principles & GD&T
Hands-on experience with prototyping tools and techniques.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
Familiarity with automation systems, robotics, and PLCs is highly desirable.
Familiarity with automated material handling systems or robotic systems a plus.
Exposure to Artificial Intelligence Technologies and its utilization in manufacturing.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of clean power generation technologies such as fuel cells a plus.
Experience with high-volume or precision manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing analytics tools.
Exposure to quality systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for long periods on solid surfaces
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment in required areas
