JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for managing assigned production area and staff and workflow to consistently meet or exceed production schedules, delivering the highest quality product, whilst ensuring the safety of all personnel on shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Productivity/Output
- Accountable for ensuring that production schedules are met on a daily/weekly/quarterly basis.
- Supervises direct labor production employees, which may include Area Leaders, Good Manufacturing Associates, Technicians, Material Handlers and Material Coordinators.
- Monitors, manages and reports on key production metrics for assigned shifts/lines/areas of responsibility on daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
- Directs the entry of select transactions (high dollar inventory adjustments, inventory adjustments, high scrap values) into Oracle/SAP.
- Develops and implements continuous improvement projects across shifts/lines/areas of responsibility.
- Accountable for ensuring actions relating to Continuous Improvement projects are implemented within production line or area.
- Identifies and eliminates reasons for chronic part shortages or root-cause production slowdowns.
Quality
- Accountable for ensuring that production output meets established quality standards on a daily/weekly/quarterly basis.
- Accountable for ensuring that production processes and employees comply with regulatory standards (FDA, cGMP, ISO13485, MDD and Country-Region regulations).
- Monitors, manages and reports on quality metrics for assigned shifts/lines/areas of responsibility on daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis or as appropriate.
- Develops and maintains monitoring systems that improve visibility of key production metrics such as in-process defects, scrap and in-process inventory.
- Ensures that Quality Management System (MI’s, SI’s, Training Records) procedures accurately reflect production processes.
- Accountable for process deviation corrective action. Initiates and completes containment and lot tracing, closes out NCE's
Safety
- Accountable for the health and safety of all assigned work areas and personnel.
- Ensures safety regulations are understood and followed by all assigned staff and implementing safety related disciplinary actions as needed.
- Ensures that production process and employees comply with all relevant health & safety regulatory standards.
- Supports the investigation of H&S accidents and conducting root cause analysis on assigned shifts/lines/areas and defining & assigning appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitors, manages and reports on safety metrics for assigned shifts/lines/areas of responsibility on daily/weekly/monthly/ quarterly basis or as appropriate.
- Responsible for recording safety issues, completing necessary safety paperwork, resolving the safety issue in a timely manner.
Supervisory
- Accountable for managing the performance of all assigned personnel.
- Documenting and delivering performance management for assigned staff including; development and delivery of performance appraisals, performance feedback, employee development discussions, performance improvement plans and disciplinary decisions including introductory employment period.
- Responsible for hiring suitably skilled and competent staff for assigned shifts/lines/areas.
- Responsible for ensuring assigned staff receive timely on-boarding and on-going training.
- Monitors, manages and reports (where appropriate) on employee performance metrics for assigned shifts/lines/areas of responsibility.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree, Operations Management, Engineering, or relevant course of study.
- 1 year - Related experience with supervisory skills in a manufacturing environment (Required)
- 5 years - Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably medical devices (Required)
- Knowledge and experience in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S (Required)

Pay Transparency:
The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate’s location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics’ employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role.

The base salary range for this role is:
$57,787.39-$98,392.06/Annual
