Manufacturing Supervisor - Night ShiftPosition Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for a Supervisor to provide leadership in metrics related to the operations within the department (i.e. safety, quality, waste, productivity, cost reductions). This person will be responsible for communicating, developing, and consistently managing associates within the department.
This position is located in Chickamauga, GA and the hours for this position is 8pm-8am, rotating shifts.
Responsibilities:
Drives departmental performance utilizing tools such as Lead Standard Work, Root Cause Analysis, USF2, 5S, AoDocs, and Visual Management by working with Associates, Department Manager, support (PE, Training, and Maintenance).
Leads by ensuring appropriate training and resources are available to execute and sustain deliverables applicable to the department and Facility. By working with and assisting the Associates, Training, and Plant Leadership. Utilize Leader Standard Work at the beginning, during and end of the shift.
Effectively interface procedures, policies, and systems to provide a successful departmental environment. This includes interaction with support areas, effective communication with Associates, and interaction with Leadership. Working with and assisting Associates, Human Resources, and Department Manager. Must understand JHA’s for Supervisor and Associates.
Administrative responsibilities (Policies, Kronos, Attendance, Corrective Discipline, Correspondence, Production Entries, Inventory, etc.), by working with Associates, Payroll, Human Resources, and IT.
Utilizes audit processes for continuous improvement efforts by coordinating with Department Managers, and Process Engineers.
Complete Safety audits and leads safety meetings as required by management. Participate in the safety program to provide employees with feedback and support as required by management.
Prepares shift for job assignments, production scheduling, projects, and standard work, by working with Associates, off-shift Supervisors, and Planners. Utilize USF2 to obtain product information and make inventory corrections. Utilize SHARP to submit maintenance work orders.

Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED and previous Lead/Fill-in Supervisor or Supervisor experience in manufacturing within the past 5 years required.
Preferred:
2+ years of previous supervisory experience preferred. Experience working in the Weaving process preferred.
