Shift: 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM

Position Responsibilities:

Responsible for production personnel, including coordination of personal time and first line of contact for personnel issues
Provide consistent and accurate shift to shift communication
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring that all safety instructions are followed
Responsible for safety, quality, cost, and delivery of assigned shift
Working knowledge of production processes
Ensure new employees are properly trained for their position, which must include the safety standards
Manage cross training across the shift
Conduct regular meetings with team, incorporating safety topics
Support the Plant Manager as necessary with any special projects
Complete daily reports and maintain logs
Ensure that work is being performed according to company quality standards and in a timely manner
Record downtime, scrap, and determine team efficiency
Review production schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications
Manage time and attendance according to policy
Direct supervision of production personnel
Take appropriate disciplinary actions, complete employee performance evaluations, and exercise policy enforcement
Troubleshoot machines and tooling issues
Lead by example through a “roll up the shirt sleeves” management style and work ethic

Essential Skills and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
Five (5) years or more of experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate empower and promote a positive team environment
Ability to function effectively at both strategic and tactical levels
Ability to work and thrive under time constraints and juggle and prioritize responsibilities
Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and documentation skills
Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Team -oriented, collaborative, and flexible
Strong problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability as a leader of hourly operators
