Position Summary

This role follows a rotating 12-hour night shift schedule: Thursday–Saturday with alternating Wednesdays, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM, across alternating 3- and 4-day workweeks. Flexibility for overtime, training, and business needs is required.

The Shift Supervisor leads night shift manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, safety, and efficiency goals. This role oversees production teams, drives continuous improvement, ensures compliance with manufacturing and cleanroom procedures, and supports execution in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong people management skills and experience in semiconductor, photonics, electronics, or cleanroom manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

  • Supervise night shift manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, and delivery goals.
  • Execute production schedules based on demand, materials, equipment, and staffing.
  • Monitor KPIs including throughput, yield, downtime, scrap, and labor efficiency.
  • Optimize equipment utilization and operational performance.
  • Escalate production, quality, or safety issues promptly.
  • Ensure effective shift handoff communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain accurate production and labor reports.

Team Leadership & Quality

  • Lead, coach, and develop operators, technicians, and support staff.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage performance reviews, attendance, coaching, and corrective actions.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and cross-training initiatives.
  • Align staffing with production and overtime needs.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures, cleanroom protocols, ESD controls, and quality standards.
  • Partner with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in high-volume environments.
  • Experience in semiconductor, photonics, electronics, medical device, or cleanroom manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production control.
  • Experience leading teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with MES systems, SPC, and manufacturing data analysis tools.
  • Experience in wafer scheduling, floor prioritization, shipment management, and driving quarterly production goals.
  • Prior experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment and process troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of ISO quality standards and EHS compliance requirements.

Pay Range:

P40-USA-1 :$85,000.00 - $121,400.00
