Responsibilities:

• Work directly with Engineering, Quality Assurance and the Plant Chemist to improve manufacturing processes in order to increase efficiency and quality.
• Willingness and ability to travel to domestic and international sites to support Chem-Trend’s manufacturing and localization efforts.
• Direct production using scheduling and planning skills to obtain the most efficient methods to meet all orders on time with superior safety and quality while maintaining continuous cost improvements.
• Select, train, evaluate and motivate production employees.
• Maintaining an open and proactive manufacturing environment while balancing employee needs with company needs is an important aspect of this position.
• Ensuring that the needs of the customer (internal and external) are met and managed; maintain a close working relationship with Sales Service (domestic and global).
• Leadership, communication and good interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in BA, STEM or related field OR 5-10 years of experience in supervision/leadership in a related industry.
• Excellent computer skills required; ERP (SAP) experience required.
• Working knowledge of batch process manufacturing preferred.
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
• Ability to lift 55-pound bags, pails or boxes to a height of 3-4 feet.
