Job Description

Teledyne Relays (a business unit of Teledyne Defense Electronics, LLC), is a manufacturer of Electromechanical Relays, Solid State Relays, Power Controllers, RF COAX Switches and RF switching systems.

Position Summary and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, equipment and labor capacity, and material supply. Coordinates the efficient movement of work orders and materials through the manufacturing floor. Communicates weekly and monthly production plans to immediate manager.
  • Manages, selects, and develops floor personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
  • Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
  • Works with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and others to achieve production schedules
  • Teledyne Technologies may, at its discretion, modify or add further duties not currently listed in this general job description.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience as a production supervisor
  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university a plus
  • Solid knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Material Review Planning (MRP) knowledge required
  • Experience working in the electronics industry required
  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outlined.
  • Provides guidance to employees according to established policies and management guidance.
  • Work is reviewed by management to measure meeting of objectives.
  • Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.
  • Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies.
  • Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will cause delays in schedules.
  • Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, outside customers, and functional peer groups at various management levels.
  • Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
  • Provides general supervision to lower-level supervisors or direct supervision to skilled nonexempt employees (i.e., technicians).

Please note the salary range posted below is a general guideline for this job level and location. When extending an offer, a variety of factors are considered such as responsibilities of the position, relevant education and experience, certifications, knowledge and skills.

Salary Range:

$77,900.00-$103,800.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
