Raytheon Vision System is hiring for a Manufacturing Supervisor. The Supervisor will report to the Factory Manager and be accountable for the daily management of supervising touch labor employees across multiple processing gates. The supervisor will be tasked to message clear operational schedules, priorities, goals, and collaborate with functional management to allow for continuous manufacturing of line-flow to meet weekly and monthly goal to support OTD (on time delivery).

This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. The Supervisor must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. The Supervisor will perform in both manufacturing and management leadership roles. Ensure the successful day-to-day execution of production plans and cleanroom operations. Additionally, they will support Factory Management in projects/initiatives supporting organizational objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Providing coaching and performance development
  • Enforcing factory run rules and safety
  • Maintaining timekeeping
  • Planning and assigning work to build and deliver products on time and within budget
  • Developing training plans to support changes in product mix
  • Facilitates cross-training across their team.
  • Minimizing downtime in assembly activities by communicating production interruptions with support functions
  • Reporting status to factory management
  • Coordinating with facilities and equipment support teams to ensure timely maintenance
  • Interface with other Factory supervisors across shifts
  • Provide oversight on a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow
  • Define Priorities, Goals and Manage Quality, Schedule and Hours per Unit (HPU) performance
  • Prioritizes project issues and assists in the resolutions process to meet productivity, quality, and organizational goals and contractual delivery requirements
  • Handing employee related day to day issues and concerns

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years’ related experience. Or an advanced degree and 3 years of related experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • The Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with IR Systems, Focal Plane Assembly packaging processes
  • Understanding of FOD and FOD-prevention methods
  • Front Line Leadership, shop floor management and/or previous supervisor experience
  • Advanced skills in PRISIM, CMES, cPDM and MS Office, specifically Excel in a reporting capacity
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and Quality practices and instructions
  • Understanding of sequencing for fabrication, assembly, installation, testing and other manufacturing operations relation to specific portion of the product.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills with ability to communicate both verbal and written
  • Ability to make decisions, effectively lead tasks, meet challenging deadlines and multi-task in a rapid-paced environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships and effectively partner with others

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
