This position is responsible for managing all manufacturing areas to ensure that production, quality and safety standards are achieved according to set production schedules.
Main Job Duties:
- Execute production plan through the efficient use of staffing, materials, equipment and other resources and setting production goals
- Monitor production metrics to identify and resolve issues and implement process improvements
- Participate in daily walkthroughs/field tours and communicate priorities in shift handoff meetings
- Determine staffing requirements and make recommendations to senior leadership regarding compensation, performance and shift coverage
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, turnaround, and downtime and communicate such with senior leadership
- Ensure training processes, equipment and tool requirements comply with health and safety regulations
- Coach teams on best practices, performance issues and employee relations concerns to resolve problems
- Ensure manufactured components meet engineering specifications and quality standards
- Ensure accuracy of inventory transaction according to established processes
- Monitor productivity and labor efficiency
- Provide coaching and guidance to support performance, address workplace concerns, and maintain a productive work environment
- Promote and enable cross-training and continuous improvement for all employees
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience is required
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment is required
- A minimum of 2 years effectively leading others is required
**Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: **
- Knowledge of ERP system is required; SAP experience is preferred
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
- Sheet metal manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills are required
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills are required
- Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise and manage others is required
- Ability to think strategically and tactically with a solid business acumen and understanding of multiple functional areas is required
- Must be highly collaborative, able to work effectively across functions and support an environment of innovation and creative change
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required
