Shift: Night Shift
Benoit Premium Threading is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Night Shift Supervisor to lead CNC machining operations during night shift production. This role is responsible for supervising personnel, ensuring safe and efficient machining operations, meeting production and quality targets, and maintaining a strong team-oriented culture. The ideal candidate brings hands-on CNC machining knowledge combined with proven leadership and problem-solving skills.
Leadership & Supervision
Supervise, coach, and lead CNC machinists and support staff on the night shift.
Assign work, monitor performance, and ensure shift objectives are met.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Conduct shift handovers and communicate production status to day shift leadership.
CNC Machining & Production
Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for CNC machining operations.
Ensure CNC machines are set up, operated, and maintained according to specifications.
Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time completion of work orders.
Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput.
Quality & Safety
Enforce company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
Ensure all parts meet Benoit Premium Threading’s quality standards and customer specifications.
Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Operational Oversight
Coordinate with maintenance on machine issues, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
Track production metrics, scrap, downtime, and labor utilization.
Ensure accurate completion of production documentation and reports.
Support training and onboarding of new employees.
Required
Previous supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
Strong working knowledge of CNC machining processes and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and machining tolerances.
Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities on night shift.
Preferred
Experience in threading, oil & gas, or precision machining environments.
CNC programming or advanced setup experience.
Familiarity with continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles.
Technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, oils, and metal materials.
Willingness to work night shift and occasional overtime as required.
