OVERVIEW

We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Sanitation Supervisor to join our growing team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Sanitation Supervisor will be accountable for plant equipment and environmental routine sanitation processes. This role will supervise the Sanitation Team Members and provide supervisor level guidance. Additional responsibilities include:
• Assure that sanitation of equipment and environment is completed through the use of the sanitation team members and the PVM production team members.
• Manages the work to complete the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Interacts with the Sanitation Specialist to execute the PVM Sanitation Polices and Procedures
• Responsible for training the Sanitation Team Members to be competent in Sanitation Policies and Procedures and in chemical safety, and proper use of PPE.
• Interacting with Sanitation Specialist and Food Safety Specialist to ensure compliant sanitation effectiveness.
• Continual education in Food Safety and Sanitation.
• Ensure all sanitation documentation is completely and accurately filled out.
• Work with chemical suppliers to ensure the proper chemicals are being used in our cleaning and sanitation.
• Ensure the proper sanitation tools are being purchased and used.
• Establish a good working relationship with chemical supplier field service representatives.
• Understand when a food safety / sanitation issue must be elevated.
• Clear understanding of Erlanger Plant Sanitation Zones.
• Use available methods of sanitation process improvements. PPE Team, Process Mapping, Kaizen, etc.
• Manage the sanitation efforts to meet or beat the scheduled planned downtime.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• 5 years experience leading Food Safety / Sanitation Team
• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Certified Sanitarian preferred.
• Lift 50 pounds.
• Able to stand, climb, stoop, kneel, bend, twisting and crouch occasionally.
• Able to reach above shoulders
• Able to become certified to operate a hand truck, fork truck, and vertilifts
• Able to become trained in confined spaces
• Able to work from heights
• Understand Sanitary Design, chemical safety, and cleaning procedures
• Able to work overtime when needed
• Able to work weekends when needed
• Able to work in areas that contain dust and starch particles
• Able to work in hot and humid conditions
• Have strong organizational, communicative, and interactive skills
• Monitor plant cleaning supplies
• Meet all required safety trainings
• Have the capability and initiative to perform duties without direct supervision
• Have strong time management skills
