Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Quotation Specialist role requires the ability to interpret technical drawings, bills of materials, production volumes, and manufacturing requirements to develop quotations for prospective contract manufacturing customers. As a Manufacturing Quotation Specialist, you will support Remington's Sales Team by learning the products, processes, and tools needed to estimate the manufacturing costs of medical devices.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Remington’s Contract Manufacturing by utilizing engineering drawings, specifications, historical manufacturing data, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to determine manufacturing processes and develop cost estimates for disposable medical devices
  • Develop accurate manufacturing routings, calculating required labor hours, machine cycle times, and material yields for component fabrication, assembly, packaging, and sterilization
  • Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Purchasing team members to understand the sales process, value propositions and steps of sourcing, manufacturing, and selling disposable medical devices 
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with the internal team
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and task coordination 
  • Update and maintain records for the quote development process 
  • Engage with the Sales Engineer and other stakeholders and maintain project documentation
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with all company procedures, work instructions, drawings, specifications, and all other Quality System requirements 
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), current ISO13485, and FDA requirements 


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field (or experience equivalency) preferred 
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical or engineering drawings (dimensions, tolerances, materials, and specifications)
  • Ability to review and work with Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, conditional formulas)
  • Detail oriented, ability to analyze data and draw logical conclusions 
  • Strong drive, interest in the Medical Device industry and the healthcare industry 
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
