Job Description

This manufacturer designs and builds industrial technical products. Most of their business is US, with some international. This person will work in the technical inside sales team, which is currently 6 employees. They will have their own client accounts, outside sales people to partner with and areas of specialty. This company is a leader in their field and are known for their quality products. This is a local privately owned company with around 100 employees. People in leadership roles know their employees and show they care about them. They provide a flexible friendly, engaging, and more relaxed work environment. Employee turnover is low and there is room for growth.

This person is going to create quotes for industrial technical products and components for a variety applications and industries, like mining, construction and transportation.

This person needs to be able to:

• Contact existing customers and potential new customers introducing new products and asking for orders.

• Talk to customers, and their outside sales reps about what customer are looking for.

• Understand technical requirements and specifications, and take information off of blueprints. There is heavy blueprint reading in this role.

• Gather and break down information for quoting purposes for orders. Gather information for the quote from internal departments like design, quality and production.

• Work up quotes and present to customers, including costs, timeframes, material needs; understanding what customers and the outside sales reps are talking about technically. With an ability to understand material requirements, especially steel including grades, tolerances and use.

• Work with their outside sales reps and a variety of internal departments like design, quality and production. Work with internal departments on scheduling.

• Follow up with the customer until the quote is accepted and becomes an order. They will enter everything into ERP software, and track and keep the customer updated on the order thru shipping (delays, cancellations, handle change notices etc.).

Full time Monday- Friday 8am- 5pm. On site in Zelienople, PA. We are looking for candidates in the 70-90K range. Full benefits package. Discretionary company bonus paid to all employees based on company performance, which has historically been strong.

Qualifications:

• This person will have worked in manufacturing and prepared technical information for quotes or estimates. Customer service experience is NOT required, just the desire and ability to work with customers.
• Strong blueprint reading skills with ability to take off and interpret information and work with technical specifications.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP software.
• Requires a preemployment criminal background check and drug screen.
