This position reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and plays a key role in upholding Harmar’s commitment to quality. You'll work cross-functionally to support product quality, manage documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain our quality systems across both company locations.
Must be comfortable working on cross-functional teams and serve as a key technical resource in product support, document development, maintenance of the document database.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct product evaluation and failure analysis by taking component measurements, evaluating drawings and specifications, etc.
- Support Quality Control in containment, investigation, and resolution of non-conformances.
- Maintain nonconforming database, support equipment calibration and calibration nonconformity investigations
- Collect data from returns and NCRs for trend analysis.
- Lead lean thinking and problem-solving to improve product quality.
- Evaluate and analyze quality metrics and product feedback to determine solutions.
- Collecting production data, analyzing outputs, and determining corrective courses of action to promote quality and efficiency.
- Work with management to drive continuous improvement.
- Work with manufacturing engineering to ensure necessary process controls and validations are in place and best practices are followed (GMP)
- Supports the test review and verification of protocols and reports for validations.
- Works with Suppliers, Management, Engineers and Manufacturing associates in the resolution of quality problems.
- Participate in safety and internal audits and activities.
- Helps lead root cause analysis for CAPA projects.
- Contribute to the design, development and implementation of product Quality Assurance plans providing feedback for corrective and preventive actions to Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and Suppliers.
Requirements
Education:
Degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
Experience:
- 4+ years in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related role
- Previous experience in a medical device manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA (21 CFR 820) regulations
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results
- Strong background in data organization, analysis, and presentation

- Highly organized with excellent project management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Able to build effective working relationships across teams
