Job Description

SUMMARY:

The manufacturing quality assurance technician is an integral member of the manufacturing quality assurance team who evaluates incoming, in-process, and finished product to ensure it meets specified requirements before being accepted for use. This position also leads and coordinates nonconforming product and calibration activities.

REPORTING TO/DEPARTMENT:

Reports to the Manufacturing Quality Assurance Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead identification, documentation, segregation, evaluation, and disposition of nonconforming product for the Madison manufacturing campus.
  • Coordinate calibration and maintenance of tools and measuring equipment for the Madison manufacturing campus and other locations globally.
  • Perform and review incoming, in-process, and finished device acceptance activities.
  • Complete final acceptance activities for finished devices.
  • Maintain quality data including incoming, in-process, and finished device inspection plans.
  • Control quality records and assist with transition to paperless processes.
  • Gather product and process quality data.
  • Support internal and external quality audits.
  • Implement quality improvement projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Preferred or Desired:

  • Accredited degree in a manufacturing or quality-related discipline.
  • Quality-related certification from a widely recognized organization such as ASQ.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or similar quality systems.
  • Experience working with complex, software driven, electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
  • Ability to influence others using effective verbal and written communications.
  • Proficient with ERP and quality system software such as SAP and Master Control.

Required:

  • 5+ years education/work experience in manufacturing or quality-related disciplines.
  • Able to interpret technical documents including drawings, specifications, test reports, etc.
  • Proficient in the use of mechanical and electrical measurement instruments like calipers, micrometers, pin and thread gauges, digital multimeters, etc.
  • Highly driven and organized with a demonstrated track record of achievement.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to consistently work on-site and travel between multiple Madison-area facilities.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move physical inventory weighing up to 50 pounds.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The range for this position is $45,000 to $61,000 annually. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, future potential and internal pay parity. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Accuray Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process
