As a 1st Shift Production Supervisor, you will be the first line leader to support team members within your area/zone. You willbe responsible forcoordinating day-to-day activitiesin order tomaintainscheduled production requirements and to ensure your team is successfull.
This is an onsite position. The schedule is first shift, Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:00 PM, with additional hours on Fridays as needed.

Interface with technical staff to ensure proper support
Establish annual goals andobjectivesthat support the attainment of operating metrics
Work to continuously improve processes and reduce inventories and work in progress
Serve as the first point of contact for employeesregardingemployee relations issues
Interface with Union Stewards in contract and discipline issues
Other duties as assigned
**Position Qualifications:

**Knowledge/Experience/Education:
**
Proven history of ability to lead with a servant leadership mindset.
A minimum of one to three years of experience in a medium/high volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
Previousmanufacturing supervision experience would be preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering or Operations is preferred.
Previousprofessional,internshipor co-op experience will be taken into consideration as relevant experience.

Must be self-driven and ambitious with proven leadership capabilities, including providing coaching,mentoringand supervision within a team environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Outlook,Wordand Excel).
Strongproblem solvingskills, including encouraging others on your team to think proactively and create solutions.
Basic understanding of process control, production scheduling, Kaizen,Kanbanand Lean manufacturing is preferred.
