Job Overview:

All items listed below are to be in accordance with your job specifications and safety regulations.

  • Production and Quality Support:- Provide hands-on engineering support for urgent roll forming and stamping issues; own each problem through root cause, corrective action, and verification.

    • Work directly with operators, Maintenance, Tool & Die, and Quality to resolve setup, tooling, machinery, and quality issues.
  • Process Improvement and Standard Work:- Identify and prioritize improvements where they limit plant output (Theory of Constraints); reduce downtime, scrap, and setup time using Lean principles.

    • Lead Kaizen, 5S/6S, and continuous improvement projects to schedule and within scope.
    • Develop and maintain standard work, setup sheets, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides; train operators.
  • New Product Introduction, Tooling and Equipment:- Lead tooling trials and support production ramp-up for new product launches; review customer prints for compliance with engineering standards.

    • Recommend tooling revisions; create and modify simple tooling drawings; review designs.
    • Support the Engineering Manager in evaluating and specifying machinery for new lines, including roll forming mills and stamping presses.

**Required Skills and Experience: **

Demonstrated experience applying Lean (SMED, 5S/6S, standard work, continuous improvement); working knowledge of Theory of Constraints.Structured root-cause problem solving and critical thinking; hands-on manufacturing experience in a fast-paced, multitask environment.Strong blueprint reading; drafting principles and GD&T; AutoCAD (2D minimum) for simple drawings and design review.Works effectively in multifunctional teams; communicates clearly and influences operators, Maintenance, Quality, and Tooling.Basic knowledge of industrial machine controls and electrical circuits.Preferred Skills and Experience:Stamping and roll forming experience (most desirable), including troubleshooting mills, presses, and progressive dies; roll forming specifics are also taught on the job.Tool room / machining; project management (leading projects on time, within constraints).Exposure to pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs: familiarity with 3D CAD platforms.Physical RequirementsVisual and Hearing: Must be able to see with corrective eyewear; must be able to hear clearly with assistance, wearing hearing protection. Able to perform physical tasks of job such as lifting (up to 50lbs without assistance), pushing up to 300lbs, bending, walking, standing, stooping, pushing, pulling as required to perform tasks
