Manufacturing Process Engineer
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead efforts in process improvement objectives in our Synthetic Turf tufting manufacturing process.

This Bainbridge, GA–based role puts you at the center of manufacturing the next generation of turf systems—supporting process improvement, quality, safety, and product development for two of the most trusted brands in the industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
- Creates, revise, and approves process specifications for the Turf Department.
- Ensures document control of Turf Process specifications.
- Responsible for review and revisions in the Work Instructions located in AODOC.
- Help investigate quality problems and blowouts to determine possible causes, and responds to corrective action requests.
- Performs internal audits as requested.
- Reviews and monitors SPC charts in the department
- Implements procedures and maintains quality records as described in the Work Instructions located in AODOC.
- Coordinates and implements process improvement plans in the department.
- Implements Bainbridge’s Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policy.
- Attends and participates in customer/supplier team meetings.
- Complies with procedures in Shaw Management System (SMS).
- Troubleshoots/consults for process/equipment problems.
- Monitors analyze and optimize process performance.
- Implements, direct, and coordinates Sample Yarn Requests (SYR’s) as described in the Systems Procedures Manual.
- May perform other duties as required or assigned by leadership
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Four (4) year B.S. degree from a recognized university or college with a commensurate level of related experience.
- Engineering degree preferred.
- Previous Manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong supervisory, organizational, and people skills necessary to manage multifaceted jobs.
- Professional ethics, tact, and courtesy in dealing with people.
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and substance abuse screening.
- Basic knowledge of computer skills.
- Need diversified background with strong technical, business, and managerial skills.
- Demonstrate good motivational and initiative skills.
- Ability to make decisions based on inputs provided by supervisors, subordinates, and peers to be consistent with departmental and company goals.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends as required.
- Must wear personal protective equipment and work in a production environment.
