Summary of Position
The Manufacturing / Process Engineer is responsible for the development and validation of safe and efficient manufacturing processes for Vehicle Assembly Production Processes. This position will create, deploy and continuously improve processes, evaluate and address process risk, create and support production with equipment and fixtures. You will own validation of manufacturing processes, actively resolve issues and implement changes to improve quality and provide tangible value.

Essential Functions
- Process Validation – Establish and support new and ongoing process validation for manufacturing processes and equipment.
- New Product Introduction (NPI)– work closely with the product development team to establish and develop manufacturing processes. Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) input throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Process Risk - Create and maintain process risk documentation (PFMEA) and implement suitable mitigations for high-risk failure modes
- Sustaining Engineering – Identify, lead and support the design and process changes to improve product quality, reduce cost and support operational excellence
- Production Support – Ensure manufacturing up-time and quality through root cause analysis, creation of tooling and fixtures, and providing technical leadership on the manufacturing floor.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing/process/ continuous improvement engineering role
- Automotive or industrial equipment experience preferred
- Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis, Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis, and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA)
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts and Lean Process Implementation
- Comfortable using 3D CAD Software
- Capable of multi-tasking and completing tasks on time without compromising quality.
- Must be self-motivated, solution-driven, and able to work independently.
- Must be an excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
