Arctic Snow and Ice is looking to hire a Manufacturing Process and Tooling Engineer to grow their engineering dept. The ideal candidate will possess experience with, but not limited to manual and robotic welding, shop floor machine programming, quality control, and fixturing.
The Manufacturing Process and Tooling Engineer Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes and equipment for the production of goods. They will work closely with other departments such as R&D, quality control, and production to ensure that products are manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
• Identifying deficiencies in production processes and develop improvements
• Designing manufacturing tooling and fixturing
• Developing, initiating and managing all phases of projects
• Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources
* Design, implement, optimize, and ensure consistent quality of welding processes (including manual MIG and robotic systems).
*Develop and maintain welding documentation, including Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), ensuring all operations comply with industry standards (e.g., AWS, ASME).
* Design and develop manufacturing processes and equipment and work to create Plasma, laser, and brake press programs.
* Implement new manufacturing processes and equipment including the organization of parts and product manuals.
*Lead root-cause analysis for weld defects and equipment failures.
* Collaborate with outside operations and quality control teams to ensure products meet specifications.
*Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
* Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology
* Conduct time and motion studies to optimize processes
* Provide training and support to production and maintenance teams
*Quality control on in and outbound products
Qualifications:
* Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks), project management and statistical analysis software
*Experience with ERP software required; Epicor preferred
* Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
* Strong working knowledge of weld metallurgy, processes, and equipment.

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
