Manufacturing Operations Engineer

The Manufacturing Operations engineer is a critical support role to our production supervisors focused on improving operational efficiency, ensuring schedule adherence, tracking parts and processes, supporting quality assurance, and driving quality initiatives—freeing up supervisors to focus more on direct, hands-on production leadership. This role will be working on the production floor and will be responsible for ensuring production stays on schedule and proactively addresses any issues as they arise. 


Job Duties: 

  

· Champions safety procedures and adheres to them strictly.

· Ensure assembly schedule adherence and unit delivery timelines.

· Project Manager for all units starting at unit and BOM review to unit completion.

· Liaison between CAD, Quality, Operations, and Engineering.

· Tracks and eliminates rework.

· Quality Checks units before interdepartmental hand off and final inspection. 

· Reviews test documentation to ensure units are to standard. 

· Identify and eliminate process waste, improve tooling/layouts.

· Ensure parts arrive on time and are staged correctly.

· Help develop standard work and improve job documentation.

· Support design-for-assembly feedback loops. Lead root cause analysis to determine corrective actions and improve processes. 

· Ensure documentation follows unit, is accurate, and addresses setbacks in meetings and appropriate parties. 

· Ensure safe and efficient work environments.

· Attends and reports in daily, weekly, and monthly production meetings. 

· Co-owns reviews of employees and disciplinary actions of employees. 

Requirements

  

Qualifications:

· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field OR equivalent hands-on experience in a manufacturing leadership or engineering support role

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Solid communication and interpersonal skills

· Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment

· Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems a plus
