Position Summary
This position is responsible for planning and regulating machine parts and current inventory level. This role ensures that each day's scheduled run of parts occurs without incident. The individual is responsible for assisting Production Control management and Manufacturing management to achieve its daily targets by keeping up with demand, forecasting needs, and managing/building strong relationships with JCB North America’s suppliers and vendors.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Plan individual part parameters to meet corporate goals of inventory levels
- Manage and coordinate a large number of suppliers and vendors
- Manage and coordinate a large volume of parts on a daily basis
- Monitor supplier performance for timely shipping and parts supply
- Liaise with other areas to ensure resolution of any known supplier/material issues
- Expedite parts as required due to inventory loss or discrepancy, quality rejects, misusage, etc.
- Coordinate and follow up of purchase orders
- Monitor delivery schedules and review orders
- Monitor production rates and raw material prices, contacting vendors and checking inventories.
- Manages inventory levels, schedules and availability of selected items, either manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules.
- Analyze and resolve scheduling issues that would cause production delays.
- Collaborate with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status and production planning issues.
- Keeps up with demand, forecasts needs to ensure JCB is able to meet set deadlines and goals
- Determine and decide how much inventory should be kept on hand to limit overstock issues in the production area
- Conduct periodic checks of inventory
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Material Planning
Preferred Qualifications
- International Supply Chain Experience
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control, planning or expediting for a manufacturing facility
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Take direction well and work with minimal supervision
- Good analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent customer relation skills
- Ability to monitor and control the delivery of production parts throughout the supply chain for 40+ suppliers representing 1200-part numbers
- React proactively to parts shortages in order to ensure uninterrupted production of machines to customers
