Job Description

Job Summary:
General facility and machine repair and maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Machine repair, rebuilding and retrofitting, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Structural, Electrical, and Electronics (Basic working knowledge of PLC’s, Drives, etc.)
  • Performs preventive maintenance for manufacturing equipment to electrical, mechanical and safety standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose cause of electrical and mechanical malfunction or failure of manufacturing equipment and apply corrective action to resolve re-occurring issues.
  • Ability to utilize various diagnostic equipment and measuring devices such as voltmeters, calipers, micrometers and oscilloscopes for troubleshooting and monitoring equipment performance.
  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical and structure repair in and around the facility
  • Work in a safe and organized manner
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment
  • Ability to safely use a variety of hand and power tools as required
  • Perform Lockout and Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with company policy.
  • Working knowledge of PC based Microsoft office programs: Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Prior Forklift certification.
  • Good driving record and current, valid driver license to operate company vehicle as required.
  • Availability for overtime as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree in a related field from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Manufacturing automation equipment experience is a plus
