Job Overview:

Senior Manufacturing Leader – Injection Molding Operations

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end injection molding operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment. You’ll drive performance across production, process optimization, tooling, materials flow, and team leadership while ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and delivery expectations.

The position plays a key role in improving operational efficiency, increasing equipment utilization, and supporting broader business growth initiatives. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams while also leading internal improvement and automation efforts.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys building, coaching, and developing strong technical teams.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Oversee daily molding operations to meet production targets and customer commitments
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, output, and cost performance
  • Lead internal transfer and localization initiatives in partnership with global stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality expectations across all operations
  • Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support on the production floor
  • Develop, refine, and standardize manufacturing processes
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technicians and process specialists
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts across operations
  • Evaluate tooling, equipment, and material performance to improve uptime and throughput
  • Support production planning and execution to meet operational goals
  • Champion automation and productivity improvement initiatives
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships to support ongoing projects
  • Maintain accurate process documentation and work instructions
  • Train team members on updated processes and best practices
  • Ensure facility operations remain compliant with applicable standards and regulations
  • Partner with internal teams to support quality system requirements
  • Oversee preventative maintenance efforts for machines and tooling

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred
  • Several years of leadership experience within a manufacturing setting
  • Strong background in injection molding, including processing, equipment, and automation
  • Experience working with molding equipment and tooling (specific machine experience is a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing teams
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and process optimization
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Experience working with production systems (ERP/MRP)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
