The Manufacturing Intern is assigned targeted projects at one of Amy’s manufacturing plants that add value in Safety, Employee Engagement, Quality / Food Safety, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost. The internship program is full-time work for a seasonal period (typically 8-10 weeks), so the projects need to be selected to allow the Intern to lead them through to completion during their time at Amy’s. Most of the Manufacturing Intern’s work will be assigned by their manager; however, the Intern can propose additional value-added projects to work on that should be reviewed and approved in advance by the manager. At the conclusion of the Intern’s season at Amy’s, they will present deliverables, key learnings, and any pending next steps for each of their projects to the plant leadership team and to any other impacted stakeholders (both internal and external to the plant).
