Position Summary

Are you an experienced accounting professional with a knack for cost accounting and process improvement? As our General Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial integrity, driving inventory best practices to boost cash flow, and delivering cross-functional financial recommendations to executive leaders

. You will work closely with our Controller and Cost Accounting teams to analyze financial data, establish rates using ABC Standard Costing, and identify cost-saving or profit-generating opportunities

.

What You’ll Do (Essential Duties):

• Financial Analysis & Strategy: Conduct financial studies, analyze trends, and prepare actionable recommendations for budgets, forecasts, policies, and operational improvements

  .

• Cost Accounting & ABC Standard Costing: Partner with Cost Accounting to analyze financial data, establish/update rates, and audit inventory best practices to optimize cash flow

  .

• Financial Reporting & Planning: Assist in creating and publishing monthly financial statements, ratios, budgets, forecasts, and governmental reporting requirements

  .

• Reconciliations & Accounting Support: Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts across all companies to ensure complete accuracy, while providing backup support for A/P and A/R as needed

  .

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key team member across cross-functional groups, answer financial inquiries from clients and vendors, and assist with training or providing direction to peers

  .

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required

  .

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of senior accounting experience in a small-to-medium-sized manufacturing environment

  .

• Cost Accounting Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with Cost Accounting in manufacturing

  .

• ERP & Software Mastery: Robust ERP experience (across Financials, Suppliers, Customers, Inventory, BOMs, Purchasing) alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Word/PowerPoint/Outlook

  .

• Key Traits: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, judgment, communication, and planning/organizing capabilities

  .

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Environment: Primarily an office setting with occasional exposure to background manufacturing noise and moving mechanical parts on the floor

  .

• Physical Effort: Desk-based work requiring close vision, frequent hand dexterity, and occasional walking or lifting up to 10 lbs

  .
