The Manufacturing Systems Integration Analyst is a critical individual contributor responsible for ensuring Vertiv’s manufacturing and production systems accurately support customer-driven, scope-variable builds. While core product platforms remain consistent, each customer order may differ in configuration, routing, and execution requirements. This role ensures Oracle ERP, MES capabilities, automation systems, and production data work together to enable flexible, high-quality execution on the production floor.
This position partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT to translate evolving customer requirements into clear, executable routings, work orders, and system workflows. Although this is not a formal people leadership role, the Manufacturing Systems Integration Analyst serves as a trusted authority and influencer guiding best practices, identifying system gaps, and proactively driving improvements across Vertiv’s digital manufacturing ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day health and performance of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and their integration with ERP (Oracle), automation, and data platforms.
- Support and optimize manufacturing routings, work orders, operations, BOMs, and work instructions to ensure accurate execution on the shop floor.
- Serve as the first line of support for production-impacting system issues
- Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams to ensure systems align with real production behaviors.
- Bridge industrial automation (PLC-controlled equipment) with MES and ERP systems, ensuring reliable data flow between machines and enterprise platforms.
- Support Quality execution workflows, including inspection execution, buyoffs, and quality postings tied to production.
- Identify recurring system gaps, inefficiencies, and failure points; lead issues through resolution via collaboration with IT, automation, and business systems teams.
- Test, deploy, and support system enhancements and new technologies in coordination with IT and manufacturing stakeholders.
- Capture user feedback and rollout issues during new implementations, upgrades, or production ramp-ups.
- Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and user-facing documentation.
- Support manufacturing and operational dashboards used across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality.
- Serve as a trusted systems partner on the floor proactively anticipating needs rather than reacting to issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field OR equivalent manufacturing systems experience.
- 5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing systems in a production environment.
- Hands-on experience with MES platforms and ERP systems (Oracle strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of industrial automation environments, including experience working alongside PLC-controlled equipment.
- Working knowledge of how MES, ERP, automation, and data systems integrate across the factory floor.
- Experience supporting or integrating new technologies into live manufacturing operations.
- Proven ability to influence change through technical expertise, strong communication, and cross-functional partnership, without formal authority.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Comfortable working directly with technicians and engineers in fast-paced production environments.
