Description
Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Manufacturing Engineer skilled in CNC and industrial robot programming, focused on optimizing production and efficiency. Responsibilities include creating quotes, processes, and procedures for high-quality in-house manufacturing. This hands-on role bridges engineering and manufacturing, driving innovative solutions and smooth operations.
The duties shall include but not be limited to the following:

Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and other departments to establish quotes, reduce product costs, and resolve production challenges.

Design and optimize mechanical and manufacturing systems, including equipment, tooling, and fixtures, using CAD software (e.g., Creo, Inventor, SolidWorks).

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with GD&T and quality standards.

Develop and implement manufacturing processes, including creating routings, determining setup and run standards, and programming CNC equipment using CAM software (e.g., ESPRIT, Mastercam).

Program and support robotic systems for production tasks, such as material handling, assembly, and welding.

Specify tooling, cutting tools, work holding, and machining parameters to ensure efficient production.

Research and apply advanced manufacturing techniques, including additive manufacturing and automation, to improve processes and reduce waste.

Train and guide technicians, assist shop floor personnel, and troubleshoot production-related issues.

Evaluate and test products, systems, and processes, preparing reports and documenting trends to support continuous improvement.

May assist with maintaining equipment by coordinating repairs and following established procedures.

Demonstrate knowledge of various materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, aluminum, sand castings (aluminum and iron), die castings, and weldments.

Monitor job orders to ensure that the latest engineering revision changes or shop floor changes have been updated on operation sheets and/or tooling records before orders are released.

Complete Non-Conformity Reports (NCR) for dispositions, root cause, and corrective actions per quality manual standards.

May be required to assist with supervision as needed.
Qualifications
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing/industrial engineering, or a related field. Or associate’s degree with equivalent experience may be considered.

Accept directions, projects and other duties as assigned from Department Manager.

Maintain cooperative and open communication with all personnel and departments.

Proficient with computers; Microsoft Office Suite, CAD and CAM a plus.

Be able to perform duties in an ever-changing fast-paced environment.

Support Continuous Improvement activities.
