Job Overview:

Manufacturing Engineer at Stanadyne 

Job Summary:

Develops, plans, coordinates and implements a large and important manufacturing engineering project, or several projects of a smaller scale consisting of complex features in order to best support the plant and its’ operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices and manufacturing methods (machining, tooling, gaging) in broad areas of assignments.
  • Applies advanced techniques and modifies theories, processes, and/or practices within scope of assignment.
  • Works independently, exercising a good deal of judgment.  Receives guidance only on overall objectives and policy matters.
  • Works closely with manufacturing personnel to resolve process problems related to machinery testing and/or gaging.  (Spends approximately 40% of time on the shop floor.)
  • May functionally supervise technicians and less experienced engineers.  Schedules and assigns work to meet target date and checks progress on a continual basis.
  • May be required to perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must display a high level of maturity and sound judgment.
  • Attention to detail and solid organization skills required
  • Must communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing environment and/or related area.

Physical Requirements:

Essential physical requirements, such as climbing stairs, standing, stooping, or typing. Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary - up to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds and/or move up to 50 pounds with aids.
