Manufacturing Engineer Technician I

As a CPI Manufacturing Technician I, you will provide technical support to operations on a variety of engineering-related tasks.

 

If you’ve ever wondered what owning your own business is like, just ask an Employee Owner of Chatsworth Products (CPI). Better yet, become one! CPI has an immediate need for a Manufacturing Engineer Tech I in CPI’s Round Rock, Texas location.

As a CPI entry level Manufacturing Engineer Technician I, you will work under supervision to provide technical support to operations on a variety of engineering-related tasks including work instructions, machine downtime recovery, product problems, and quality evaluations. The technician would be the first line of defense in helping to resolve general production issues and maintain high production efficiency. Additionally, you could include review of workflows, routings, floor layouts, material handling, testers, or machine utilization. Work could include repairing, maintenance, or design of production testers.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Provides support to production and manufacturing engineers on a variety of tasks.
  2. Executes experiments and gathers, maintains, formats, and compiles technical data.
  3. Aids in the planning and implementation of manufacturing engineering process changes or engineering design changes to support plant operations.
  4. Performs troubleshooting and continuous improvement involving the repairing, modification, and testing of mechanical, electronic, or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, and production equipment.
  5. Maintains work instructions and process controls to ensure equipment is performing to design specifications.
  6. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  7. Performs under supervision, applies intermediate skills, may adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, etc. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. Solve basic problems. May assist in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of other employees.

Technical Competencies

  • High school or equivalent education preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in assembly manufacturing.

 

Physical/Environmental Requirements

  • Lifts up to 40 lbs.
  • Flexible to work on 1st or 2nd and weekend.
