Job Description

You will be the Manufacturing Engineer, Staff for the Precision Fires Program Manufacturing Engineering team. Our team is responsible for supporting the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System Extended Range (GMLRS ER) program, ensuring seamless production operations and collaboration with various stakeholders.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for acting as the Production Operations Point of Contact, proactively identifying and resolving issues with suppliers and Lockheed Martin make sites to minimize production impact. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Process Engineering, Design Engineering, and Quality Engineering, to drive effective relationships and communication.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating Notification of Change (NOC) documents to determine Production Line Validation (PLV) requirements
• Leading PLV events at Lockheed Martin and supplier sites
Collaborating with internal disciplines, suppliers, and
• Production Operations to resolve technical and process issues
• Interpreting technical data, such as drawings, electrical schematics, and product specifications
• Building effective relationships with stakeholders to drive business outcomes

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical discipline (mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, etc.)
• Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications, and other systems integration technical data
• Ability to liaison between LM Subcontractors, internal disciplines, and Production Operations
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Ability to obtain a security clearance

Desired skills

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of manufacturing engineers
• Experience with proposals/estimating
• Experience in design for manufacturing/assembly or design to cost
• Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Earned Value Management and/or Control
Account Manager (CAM) experience
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration, and developing enduring business relationships

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $114,700 - $198,720. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
