Position Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for all aspects related to developing, implementing and maintaining manufacturing processes for the machining of centrifugal pump and compressor components.
This position will also lead and drive continuous improvement projects that increase efficiency, productivity, quality and delivery through the elimination of waste and variation in manufacturing. The successful candidate will establish and foster strong, effective working relationships with shop-floor technicians and supervisors, peers within the Manufacturing Engineering team, and team members from Product Engineering, Planning, Quality and Supply Chain.
This is a dayshift, salaried position that works under limited supervision, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Travel up to 10% may be required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
3-5 years injection molding experience
Responsible for some aspects of manufacturing processes for assigned areas of machining including development, validation, maintenance and improvement of:
New NC programs
NC program revisions
Fixturing and tooling
Standard Work (Process Sketches, In-Process Inspection Plans, Process Notes, etc.)
BOM and shop floor routings
Assists in the analysis of manufacturing costs in support of strategic Make/Buy decision making
Key participant in executing all aspects of production traceability and configuration control including changes/corrections to bills of materials, shop-floor routings, technical work instructions, NC programs and inspection & test plans
Key participant in the NCM (Non-Conforming Material) disposition process
Assists with investigation, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions related to significant internal issues, customer complaints or third-party audits
Assists cross functional teams in the application of Lean and Six Sigma concepts and tools to identify and eliminate waste, variation and bottlenecks in the manufacturing, assembly, test and kit fabrication processes
Partner with Manufacturing Supervision to drive best-in-class TPM and 5s programs
Participates in the identification, justification, procurement, testing and implementation of capital equipment investments
Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of numeric control code (e.g., Fanuc, Okuma OSP)
Ability to read machine code (M & G code) preferred
Experience with NX Post Builder and NX Open, preferred
Proficiency with Visual Basic or similar programming, preferred
Lean Six Sigma training and experience, preferred
Experience working with an ERP system, preferred (e.g., JD Edwards preferred, Oracle, SAP)
Working knowledge of GD&T
Working knowledge of ASME, ASTM, API, ISO standards
Demonstrated experience using hands-on approach to learning, production support, teamwork and team building
Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills
Superior time management skills, ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or other technical discipline required. Suitable experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements
3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment,
Training in CAD/CAM software (Siemens NX preferred)
Knowledge of machining / metal cutting in a manufacturing environment and exposure to varied metallurgies (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel alloys, titanium, hastelloy, aluminum)
Physical requirements
This position is an on-site role located in Arvada, CO
Ability to lift 35 pounds unassisted
Indoor office & factory environment. Sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting are common

Compensation Details
Annual Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00Additional Compensation
Salary Range for this position: $70k-$90k (the salary offered will be determined based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position).Application Deadline:
