We currently have an exciting opportunity for a second shift Manufacturing Engineer to join our Electromagnetic Systems (EMS) Group located in Tupelo, MS. In support of the expanding machine shop, and under general supervision and with regular review, this position supports the engineering staff in the analysis, investigation and resolution of engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Documents findings, communicates results to engineering staff and makes technical presentations as required.
- May coordinate segments of a specific project and may have frequent inter- organization and customer contact on difficult technical issues.
- Provides direction to design or technical staff and may provide direction to less experienced professional staff.
- Supports operation of engineering systems by evaluating and interpreting needs and problems and develops effective approaches to resolving those issues.
- Troubleshoots, analyzes, and repairs systems in assigned area by utilizing standard engineering and scientific principles.
- Provides documentation and makes technical presentations as required.
- Directs the activities of designers, technicians and may direct the activities of less experienced professional staff.
- May represent the organization in providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects.
- Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelors in engineering or a related technical field as well as two or more years of manufacturing engineering experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- US citizenship is required.
- Must have a general understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory with technical experience demonstrating the application of those concepts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Must have a detailed understanding of CNC machining and how to troubleshoot problems when they occur.
- Must understand work holding as well as material movement while machining complex aerospace structures.
- Must have a good understanding of GD&T.
- Experience with modeling and drafting using Solidworks is desired.
- Must be able to effectively use MS Office, specifically Excel and Project applications, to execute and track work activities. MS Teams experience is desirable.
- Experience working with SAP and Windchill applications is desirable.
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.
- Good communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be customer focused and able to work on a self-initiated basis or in a team environment and able to work extended hours and travel as required.
