Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing and assembly solutions for the facility's equipment and assembly processes to ensure efficient operations. This "hands-on" position requires spending the majority of time on the manufacturing floor and must be able to take projects from conception to completion. 

Responsibilities:

  • Creates product assembly work instructions and manufacturing equipment processing instructions.
  • Leads RCA analysis and corrective/preventitave actions for products, processes, or system nonconformances.
  • Participate in the resolution of quality issues and drive associated improvements.
  • Identifies and plans manufacturing assembly and test workflow layout.
  • Preparing jobs to be released for production. 
  • Works with Quality Manager to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management (EMS), and Occupational Health & Safety Association (OSHA)
  • Continuously assesses opportunities for improvement and any needed changes to management systems.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs.
  • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Ensures product and process quality by designing testing methods.
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
  • Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data.
  • Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Programming for all production processing needs.
  • Uses engineering drawings to program machinery for engineered items.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Process or Manufacturing Engineering, or similar degree.
  • Experience with ‘Solidworks or Inventor’ a plus 
  • CAD and 2D drafting experience
  • ISO 9001 experience with process documentation and system audits a plus
  • Relevant industry experience in the manufacturing environment.
