Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China. This position is based in Clemmons, NC.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in turning cutting-edge product designs into reality. You will "own the process" by developing manufacturing methods that produce high-quality, reliable products, and collaborating with diverse teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop, assess, and enhance manufacturing processes to ensure robust, repeatable, and efficient production of products that meet all specifications.
- Optimize workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow by designing layouts that maximize safety and productivity.
- Source and procure equipment for product assembly, ensuring alignment with our sustainability and operational goals.
- Estimate production times, staffing needs, and costs to guide strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with leadership, engineering, and cross-functional teams to support production schedules and improve manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks); experience with MRP and process monitoring software is a plus.
- Experience working with assembly equipment, automation, and improving production efficiency.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information for diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions and abstract data.
- Ability to engage in collaborative problem-solving across diverse teams and perspectives.
- BS Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering/Engineering Technology.
- 0-4 years of relevant experience; we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds with varying experience levels.

Physical Requirements:
- This role requires a mix of desk and hands-on work, including sitting, standing, walking, and using tools or equipment. You may need to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Visual acuity for close, distance, and color vision, as well as depth perception and focus adjustments, is needed.
Work Environment:
- You’ll work in a dynamic mix of office, lab/shop, and manufacturing environments. Expect exposure to dust, oil, mechanical systems, and safety requirements such as protective gear.
