Job Summary:

Our client in Allen Park, MI is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Electrical / Electronic. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

Electrical Program Deliverable Timeliness & Completion Description: Measures the timely completion and approval of critical electrical deliverables and milestones for Our Client's Performance vehicles, including GPDS gate reviews, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMA) activities, Our Client's Electrical Design Engineering Validation Plan (FEDE DVP) closure for regulatory compliance, and FEDE/production launch Bill of Material (BOM) sign-offs. Target: 95% of electrical program deliverables completed on or before the due date. Change Control & Impact Assessment Efficiency Description: Measures the timeliness and accuracy of reviewing, assessing the impact of, and formally approving/signing off on Change Requests (CRs) that affect Our Client's Performance product lines, including updating the 'D' screen with PMT5 sign-off. Target: Average CR review and 'D' screen sign-off within 3 business days. 98% accuracy in FP impact assessments. Critical Electrical Issue Resolution Rate Description: Measures the effectiveness in tracking, following up on, and driving to closure open critical electrical part-related issues identified in meetings such as "Red Border," "Part Shortage," and "Open-To-Go (OTG)." Target: 90% of critical electrical issues closed within the defined resolution period. File:FP SOW Cross Program PS Electrical PMA Q2-Q4 2025CY Page 8 of 9 Revision Date: 6/6/2025 Confidential Author: nevans17 Electrical Regulatory & Engineering Compliance Documentation Description: Measures the timely tracking, leading, and confirmation of signed evidence for test completion/compliance to all regulatory (REG-xxxx) and engineering (RQT-xxxx) requirements specified for FP Electrical Specific or Impacted parts within the FEDE DVP. Target: 100% of required compliance documentation and signed evidence available at relevant program gate reviews. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Interface Effectiveness Description: Measures the individual's ability to maintain collaborative relationships and effectively lead/facilitate interface meetings with core electrical functional engineering teams (EESE and others), attribute teams, suppliers, manufacturing, and management to ensure parts comply with required specifications and critical decisions are made efficiently. 

Basics:

  • Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years experience on Our Client's Motor Company programs.
  • Understanding of GPDS deliverables and basic engineering tools (FEDE BOM / WERS / Bill of Material / AIMS / 8Ds / Part Sign-Off / GPIRs / FEDE DVP / Engineering Sign Off / DFMEA / FMA / Six Sigma).
  • Experience launching new vehicles on an electrical integration team and working with a Cross-functional team.
  • Ability to handle complex and multiple tasks and complicated situations under compressed timing.
