The Associate Manufacturing Engineer will design new, modified, or improved components/process tooling in accordance with engineering standards and project scope of work. This role will be an entry level role within the operations engineering organization to gain knowledge and skills in providing engineering support to various manufacturing processes.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Under close supervision, perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to JLG's engineering standards and processes.

  • Support more senior engineers in the preparation of plants, designs, computation methods, and reporting.

  • Work on projects with limited complexity in a support role.

  • Prepare vehicle layouts and component part drawings with supporting calculations (i.e. weight distribution etc.).

  • Select parts and/or design components for cost and quality-consciousness.

  • Follow project on the assembly floor or through prototype build when instructed by supervisor and render assistance as necessary.

  • Generate bills of material and assembly drawings as required by the project.

  • Adhere to time schedules.

  • Utilize engineering tools (CAD) equipment in assigned projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Internship in a relevant engineering space.

  • Knowledge of equipment manufacturing industry or automobile industry.

  • Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma tools.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite; including a strong emphasis on Excel.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay Range:

$56,600.00 - $88,400.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
