Responsible for understanding and driving improvements to operational performance using in-depth knowledge of Industrial engineering concepts such as production line management techniques and theories and understanding of Manufacturing Science (scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning) to improve production metrics and line performance. Ensure compliance of safety training and conduct all work in adherence with Micron and Technology Development (TD) safety and quality policies. Implement all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Report all safety-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (Emergency Response Team, Supervision, etc.). Perform safety audits and submit report on safety and quality issues. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop applications to continuously improve production metrics. Identify and provide process manufacturing solutions to fab performance gaps to diverse audiences Collaborate with the area Engineering and Operations teams to keep updated on area issues, priorities and projects and provide updates on key manufacturing projects. Drive the collection of new technical process data and the refinement of existing data sources. Design and coordinate manufacturing and operational improvement projects with other engineering departments. Provide inventory control support and cycle-time improvement processes. Establish operational business processes and procedures that are deployed across Fab 4 and in some cases globally, collaborating with the other engineering and technical teams. Lead process implementation projects, including the identification of task requirements and milestones. Prioritize manufacturing process work tasks effectively to meet commitments and identify opportunities for improvements. Develop best practices, reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations. Apply industrial engineering concepts to line management, capacity analysis, scheduling and production planning. Analyze and evaluate manufacturing line performance and identify opportunities for improvement Identify methodologies and tools to better predict and track manufacturing key line performance indicators. Provide process cycle time targets, WIP Limits, wafer delivery plans and other operational measures while tracking performance to plan Benchmark with other Micron sites and the industry in general to leverage best-known methods (BKMs). Identify, develop, propose, and implement effective plans to improve overall process efficiency.
May telecommute from home part-time.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management (POM) Computer Science, or related field.
Position also requires:
1. Semiconductor manufacturing processes capacity planning, automation, scheduling, cycle time, and manufacturing efficiency.
2. Ability to identify, develop, propose, and implement effective plans to improve overall efficiency.
3. SQL, Python, Tableau, and Power Bi.
4. Production line management techniques and theories.
