Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is an integral role in the Product Development Process. Candidates are required to have an array of technical skills in the fields of product development and manufacturing. Manufacturing engineers will provide inputs to product development related to manufacturability, cost and quality. They will plan and design manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of a high-quality product using established tools and processes.
This position requires work on a wide range of items and the right candidate should have the ability to create and document manufacturing processes that control cost and quality for each product Commercial Sewing manufactures.
Job Responsibilities
- Take part in daily team meetings within the Engineering department or on project teams.
- Work with engineers, Operations personnel and management to ensure all products are manufacturable in an efficient manner and the appropriate time standards and processes are used.
- Accountable for establishing and documenting manufacturing processes, maintaining Bills of Operation in the ERP system and supporting the Production floor.
- Maintain personal and shared workspaces to company standards.
- Ensure data accuracy in ERP system (Epicor).
- Working overtime or longer hours maybe required to meet deadlines.
Job Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in an Engineering field or equivalent experience
- Manufacturing knowledge
- Related on-job experience ~ 5 years.
- Ability to use CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
