Job Description

The CNC Manufacturing Engineer for ACE Thermal Systems is responsible for supporting fabrication shops by delivering skills in CNC programming and troubleshooting. Will be supporting CNC mills, lathes, and 5-axis routers. Will work alongside other manufacturing engineers and the fabrication team to drive a better yield and a better final quality part while implementing cost savings efforts. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Creating CNC programs for tooling and production machines
  • Developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing      manufacturing methods and equipment
  • Designing fixtures and tooling for machining parts
  • Creating set up and tooling sheets
  • Creating inspection reports to monitor critical dimensions
  • Designing solid models, prototypes and assemblies
  • Making drawings and schematics for custom tooling
  • Programming mills and lathes
         A CNC Machinist job description involves using computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to shape and cut materials into precise shapes and sizes.

Requirements

  

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equiv.)  

· Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a precision manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience in setting up and operating CNC machines. Strong understanding of machining principles and tooling applications 

· Proficient in G-code, M-code, and CAD/CAM programming for CNC machines, with the ability to modify and optimize programs
