The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for studying, evaluating, recommending and implementing manufacturing and systematic process improvements.  

Essential Specific Job Duties:

1.    Keeps abreast of changes, developments, and new products in his/her area of responsibility and advises management of potential applicability.

2.    Conducts special studies and analysis in his/her area of responsibility as directed.

3.    Ability to work with and lead cross functional teams.

4.    Creates and maintains manufacturing bill of materials and routings in the ERP system.

5.    Coordinates the implementation of Engineering Change Request in the ERP system.

6.    Estimate processing time for internally manufactured items.

7.    Maintains ERP system by regularly reviewing actual to estimated time and updating the system accordingly.

8.    Identifies process and work center capabilities to feed back into the production process.

9.    Maintains working documentation of process and work center capabilities.

10.    Creates work instructions for problem parts and assemblies.
 
11.    Catalogs production tooling for product engineering to use in the design process.

12.    Reviews product engineering designs for manufacturability.

13.    Uses Microsoft Office Software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

14.    Must be organized and have good written and verbal communication skills. 

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS 

Education:                         Bachelor of Science in related field 
Related Experience:          5 years’ manufacturing experience (preferred)

Supervision Received:      Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor
