JOB DESCRIPTION:

Be a consultant in the foam manufacturing day-to-day business for other colleagues. Process development and process sequencing (process flow chart) for new programs. Determine the assembly time (MTM/Avix Logistics). Manufacture feasibility analysis (DFA/DFM) and PFMEA on new products. Plant and process layout for new products and plant launches (AutoCAD). Support computer simulations of manufacturing operations. Perform cost analysis of product and process alternatives (investments and assembly time). Write process specifications and make recommendations regarding ergonomic improvements. Write specifications for manufacturing equipment and make recommendations for equipment procurement. Simulate continuous improvement process in plants (KAIZEN, DOIT and Lean) with the objective of MEQ. Work with SD-Teams to complete product launches. Monitor assembly equipment through production start-up. Stimulate TPM in new projects. Monitor and audit manufacturing best practices and standards in the plant. Participate and/or lead activities for manufacturing footprint analysis, continuous improvement of new and/or ongoing manufacturing process and lean manufacturing implementation. Standardize and implement manufacturing toolbox and provide the CMP for CPP. Create work instructions. Rebalance foam production process and current running production lines. No Telecommuting Allowed.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience as a Business Development Officer, Process Engineer or an occupation involving automotive maintenance or automotive manufacturing. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Manufacturing Processes; (2) Line balancing; (3) Root cause analysis; (4) Cost reduction methods; (5) Inventory management; and (6) Operation management.

RATE OF PAY: $ 87,818.00 per year
