Are you a Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys being on the shop floor, solving problems, and making CNC machining processes better?

We're partnering with a well-established precision manufacturing company in Rochester, NY, looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer focused on Continuous Improvement.

This is NOT a traditional desk-based engineering role. We're looking for someone who understands CNC machine shop operations and enjoys working directly with machinists, production teams, and manufacturing equipment to improve efficiency, quality, and overall performance.

🔧 What You'll Be Doing

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across CNC machining operations to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality.

• Work directly on the shop floor to identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, and optimize machining processes.

• Partner with machinists, supervisors, and production teams to improve workflows, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime.

• Apply Lean Manufacturing, root cause analysis, and process improvement techniques to deliver measurable results.

🎯 What We're Looking For

• Strong CNC machine shop experience — this is a MUST!

• Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or hands-on Continuous Improvement experience in a machining environment.

• Knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, setups, cycle times, and production workflows.

• Experience improving manufacturing processes through Lean, Kaizen, 5S, or similar methodologies.

• Someone who is comfortable working on the shop floor, collaborating with machinists, and taking ownership of improvements.
