Job Description:
The Manufacturing Engineer optimizes the site’s processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality within the operation. The role shall analyze workflows, implement strategies, and collaborate with teams to develop cost-effective and sustainable solutions
Duties and Responsibilities
Design and implement Operation’s processes that drive productivity and efficiency
Responsible for the development and sustainment of process routing times
Oversee layout changes to maximize facility safety, capacity and output
Support EHSS initiatives in alignment with corporate and site strategies
Troubleshoot and maintain Operations and facilities equipment, tooling and fixtures
Perform cost justification and project leadership responsibilities as required for capital equipment and expense spending
Support NPD projects as a team member within Milwaukee’s VIGOR process
Complete action items based on shopfloor inputs gathered from daily Gemba walks
Support 6S and lean initiatives in alignment with the site’s CI objectives
Contribute to site Quality projects such as sorting and rework activities
Assist in facility maintenance practices including contractor management, site security and leasehold improvement projects
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering (or related discipline)
One (1) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Must prioritize safe work practices in all job functions
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must consistently demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
MOST Analysis and operation’s time study experience is highly preferred
