**Shift: **1st Shift Only

**Pay Range: **$80,000 – $90,000/year

**Purpose of the Job

**

The Engineer is responsible for translating product designs into efficient, accurate, and repeatable manufacturing solutions. This role develops engineering documentation, validates materials and processes, and supports production to ensure furniture and woodworking products meet performance, quality, and cost objectives.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities

**

  • Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials for production.
  • Translate design concepts into manufacturable components and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with designers and production teams to optimize construction methods and workflows.
  • Evaluate materials, hardware, and joinery methods for strength, durability, and cost efficiency.
  • Support prototype builds and validate designs through testing and review.
  • Troubleshoot engineering or production issues related to fit, function, or manufacturability.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and revision control.
  • Support CNC programming, machining processes, and tooling requirements as needed.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
  • Provide technical support to production, quality, and customer service teams.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

**Education and Experience

**

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in furniture, cabinetry, or woodworking manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of woodworking materials, fasteners, adhesives, and finishes.
  • Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

**Physical Requirements

**

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and reach.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds unassisted.

**Travel

**

  • Limited travel required.
