DirectPath Recruiting Services is partnering with a growing manufacturer to add aManufacturing Engineer to their team. This is a high-impact role supporting process development, continuous improvement, and campus-wide manufacturing operations.
👉Ideal for someone with a strong lean background and experience supporting plant expansions or manufacturing startups.
What You’ll Do
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost
- Develop and implement safe, scalable manufacturing processes
- Analyze plant performance and optimize facility layout and workflow
- Support new product launches and manufacturing industrialization
- Lead cost reduction and productivity improvement efforts (COGS focus)
- Provide technical support on methods, time studies, and labor optimization
- Lead or support capital projects ($1M+) and equipment implementation
- Ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years in Manufacturing Engineering
- Strong lean / continuous improvement background (Six Sigma a plus)
- Experience with plant expansions, startups (greenfield/brownfield)
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and data analysis tools
- Background in fabrication, welding, assembly, or similar manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to lead projects and drive measurable results
Ideal Experience & Skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes related to HVAC and heating systems
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, paint lines, welding and machining
- Experience with design for manufacturing methods
- Familiarity with supply chain
- Familiarity with MRP planning and production scheduling techniques
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 topics and application
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred (redundant)
- Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt preferred
