PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The principal purpose of this job description is to outline the roles and responsibility of a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer is to act as the liaison between Engineering and Operations providing engineering support by troubleshooting manufacturing process in machining and Cold Heading then implement timely solutions in order to maintain the continuity of production flow, also to monitor current and debug new methods, equipment and develop procedures to ensure total system efficiencies. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Six (6) to ten (10) years of relevant work experience in CNC machining and/or coldheading/ manufacturing; eight (8) + if no degree in related field.
Experience setting up CNC equipment and writing programs.
Knowledge and understanding of quality instruments and how to use them.
Experience with business side of operation (quoting, customer relations, production planning, etc.)
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment
Proven negotiation and contracting skills
Demonstrated effective organizational and analytical skills
