They are looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their engineering team to support new product introduction, manufacturing processes, fixture and tooling design, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities:

  • Develop manufacturing processes for new precision machined components from customer drawings and specifications.
  • Design and improve tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods to support CNC machining operations.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, work instructions, BOMs, and process documentation.
  • Provide technical support to Production by troubleshooting machining, tooling, and manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate with CNC Programmers, Machinists, Quality, and Manufacturing to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Support new product introductions while ensuring manufacturability and cost-effective production methods.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, quality improvements, and process optimization.
  • Review engineering changes and implement process improvements throughout production.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing and quality issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering experience within a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo.
  • Understanding of CNC machining processes including milling, turning, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, machining tolerances, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a production environment.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, industrial manufacturing, or other high-precision manufacturing environments is preferred.
