Position Summary


Provide manufacturing engineering support with focus on tooling design, enhancing and/or utilization of existing designs, preparing blueprints, providing operations with technical support, troubleshooting of production problems, implementing process improvement, while being proficient in project management. Your main day to day task will be to support the shop floor, while collaborating with other engineers and manufacturing staff.


Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

● Create, utilize and enhance existing and/or future tooling designs for producing product.

● Develop blueprints for new tooling designs per customer specifications.

● Provide and implement engineered solutions to ensure capable/repeatable processes.
● Provide support on process improvement projects.
● Provide engineering support for implementation of cost reductions.
● Provide support in determining root causes of quality issues.
● Provide support/input to PF-CP-PFMEA process.
● Provide support to manufacturing operations to reduce scrap.
● Work with customers to resolve production/quality problems as needed.
● Overseeing the successful installation/troubleshooting of PLC Programs

● Other duties as assigned by manager


Qualifications-Education/Experience Required:

● Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant discipline.

● Ability to create, read and understand blueprints

● PLC technical certification or experience as a PLC programmer

● Decisive and confident, open and candid with the ability to energize others
● Possesses excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.

● Proficient with Google base platform and Office software

● Proficient with CAD software (AutoCAD Inventor a plus)

Preferred:

● Knowledge of cold forming, stamping, and threading/secondary manufacturing equipment and processes.

● 5 or more years of experience in engineering or manufacturing discipline

● Knowledge of materials, processes, machining and tolerances
● Experience preparing documentation and training materials.
● Experience dealing with outside equipment suppliers.
● Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen techniques
● Ability to travel when required.
