Position Summary:
The manufacturing engineer position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls.
Shift: Day
Schedule: This is a full-time position. Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm, 45 hours per week expectation with additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Carries out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training.
- Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
- Prepares and presents plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members.
- Assists Manufacturing Operations Director in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and training.
- Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
- Designs, develops, tests, sources, and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
- Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
- Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment as needed.
- Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
- Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
- Support on different shifts for specific projects will be required as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or related field.
- Computer assisted design proficiency in: CAD, AutoCAD, CATIA and Solidworks.
- Minimum 3 years related manufacturing engineering experience.
- Possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of Theory of Constraints.
- Experience managing projects using lean manufacturing and six sigma tools and techniques.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to keep multiple project moving forward.
- Demonstrated project management skills including ability to keep multiple project moving forward simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to influence others.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and without supervision.
- Demonstrated flexibility when managing through competing projects and priorities.
- Mastercam experience preferred.
- Spreadsheet software (Excel).
- Presentation software (PowerPoint).
